France-based Laboratoire PYC has expanded its range of nutricosmetics with an anti-ageing nutritional supplement based on a new on-the-go powdered concept.

The creator of beauty-boosting nutritional supplement sticks is forging ahead with developing effective solutions for the skin with this peach-flavoured orodispersible powder that dissolves in the mouth and provides a cocktail of four portioned active ingredients.

The formula has been conceived for Europe and Asia and features a composition specifically designed to prevent skin ageing; oxidative stress reduction, hydration and prevention of skin sagging.

On researching the Asian markets where the company continues to expand, Laboratoire PYC says its' R&D team drew inspiration from small beauty jellies where peach flavour is particularly popular on the region.

"The confectionary effect is guaranteed with this sweet and acid melt-in-the-mouth powder,” says Caroline Focillon, who is responsible for development at Laboratoire PYC. "Our intent was to combine a moment of pleasure with effectiveness!"

Room for customization

The formula is presented in the form of a3 gstick whereby a single dose is reported to cover the daily intake recommended by the laboratory for optimal action.

According to the beauty supplement developer, this orodispersible formula is fully customisable, both in terms of flavours and active ingredients.

"We tailor our product entirely to the customer's specifications," the R&D Department confirms. The company offers a full-service option encompassing the development, production and brand customisation of the sticks," Focillon explains.

This is bound to go down well with Asian consumers who customise everything from beauty applicators to mobile phones.

Effectiveness studies

According to Focillon, scientific studies have validated the effectiveness of this anti-ageing formula.

"It includes lutein, for which randomised double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trials have demonstrated photo-protective properties that combat oxidative stress and promote enhanced hydration and greater skin elasticity."

The anti-ageing stick is the sixth nutricosmetic formula in stick form launched by Laboratoire PYC.

The line comprises of a collagen-based nutritional supplement, an anti-blemish formula, an anti-cellulite formula, a skin-hydration drink and a skin-lightening/tone-smoothing supplement.

The entire line developed by this French company is based on highly concentrated and clinically proven active ingredients and the use of natural flavours.

Laboratoire will present the new ingredient at the Cosmoprof Asia trade show in Hong Kong from 12 to 14 November next, Stand 1E-FIB (France Pavilion).
