Post show: China Beauty Expo organisers report success
According to the organisers of the China Beauty Expo, the 20th edition of the country’s 'biggest cosmetics event' reinforced its status in the market this year.

Changing things up for this edition, Informa Exhibitions partnered up with Paris-based Centdegres, a leading design agency in the field of luxury and premium international brands.

According to the organisers, the event held in Shanghai's New International Expo Center in May registered a total of 312,000 visits from professionals across the region, which they say represented a 14% increase compared to 2014.

"Exhibitors at this year’s event were pleased with their decision to participate, citing the show’s audience, the focus on doing business, and its level of professionalism as key benefits."

In addition, returning exhibitors found the show had grown in stature, not just in terms of attendance but also with the addition of new visitor attractions, such as the WeChat and CBE-Beyond Beauty Trends Conference.

New features went down well..

Informa Exhibitions says the Asian Brand Building Lab concept played an important part in this year’s event and commanded a prime position on the show floor.

ABBL offered Asian beauty brands the opportunity to stand out from the crowd and define themselves with identities and concepts that will give them the upper hand in a crowded and uber competitive category.

The floor space at the 20th edition of the event featured professionals giving advice and guidance on image creation, advertisement positioning and retail strategies on WeChat, given by some of the world’s top products designers, as well as executives from international brands.

The dedicated conference programme also featured a number of top industry speakers, including experts from the Mintel Shanghai office, Beautystreams UK, Seyco, Firemenich and Pochet.
