There's still time left to register for Cosmetics Design's multifunctional colour cosmetics forum, where our panel of experts will discuss the latest innovations and challenges of a segment where alphabet creams are just the tip of the iceberg...

The multifunctional colour cosmetics category is one of the most rapid and fast-paced areas of the industry right now, seeing considerable cross-category innovation between skin care and facial make-up in recent years.

As consumers continue to perceive themselves as time poor, 40% of global consumers agree that they rely heavily on time saving goods and services.

This sentiment is being characterized within the make-up space by the exponential growth of multifunctional products and while having originated within face make-up streams, is now spreading to segments like the nail make-up space.

Multifunctional moving beyond skin care...

Today - March 4th, Cosmetics Design will direct the limelight on this category in the form of an online event where world leading experts will discuss how personal care brands, no matter the category, have the opportunity to capitalize on the interest surrounding multi-functional products.

The panel will include myself, Michelle Yeomans, as the moderator, and I will be putting the must-know questions to Carl Geffken, a leading expert on regulation, Jamie Mills, trends expert from Datamonitor Consumer and premium consultant, Imogen Matthews.

The Panel

As part of the panel, Carl will be answering questions that highlight the requirements for the segment and if efforts are being made to create global regulatory harmonization.

JAMIE

Jamie Mills

Datamonitor Consumer associate analyst Jamie Mills will give insight into the multi-functional CC segment, how it’s evolved in the last 5/10 years as well as how the BB craze has opened up possibilities in other areas of the category.

The analyst's areas of interest lie in the impact of consumer trends on market growth, profiling country-specific consumers, and the future development of the FMCG industry in emerging economies.

IMOGEN

Imogen Matthews

Imogen Matthews is a respected consultant, journalist and researcher with unique insight into the beauty industry. Her research, interpretation and analysis of market trends offer invaluable insights to many of the industry’s senior decision makers.

The expert will take her place on the panel to discuss the premium side of the segment and will answer questions on whether luxury brands are investing in ‘multifunctional’, if they can better cater to consumers, and what the most cutting edge multifunctional CC premium product out there is right now.
