With growing demand for natural and organic personal care products targeting expectant mothers, babies and kids, the organisers of Cosme Tokyo have highlighted a selection at the event.

Increasingly mothers feel it is crucial that their children’s sensitive skin should not be exposed to harsh and potentially toxic chemicals, which in turn is spurning a huge interest in natural, gentle products for mothers-to-be and youngsters.

This selection highlights products from many leading companies in Japan as well as offerings from international companies from as far afield as Israel and Australia, as well as one line of products that is also Halal certified.

For those with allergies

The incident of allergies, particularly in young children, is on the rise, which is the reason for the launch of the hypoallergenic kids skin care line from Japanese player Absolute.

What stands out about this line is that it has adopted the VH-Rating System, which excludes 76 different types of allergenic substances outlined by US and European authorities.

Also from Japan is the Tapauch Natural Tech range of products, offering natural solutions for both mothers and babies that is marketed as being a therapeutic dermatological line based on natural products.

Highlights from France

Two organic brands from France emphasise the importance of natural and organic children’s and mother-to-be products and stress why this is one of the world’s leading players in this category.

The first is 1001 vies line from Mamelabo, a skin care line that has already proved to be a big hit in France, based on efficient medicinal plants which have been used by formulators for decades but have now been updated with organic certification.

The other line is also from Mamelabo, called Beautanicae and targets pregnant women and babies, having won first place in the French Best Organic Cosmetics Guide. Ecocert and Cosmebio approved, the line inlcues gel, lotion, moisturizing balm and foaming change cream.

Halal certified

With Halal opening up as a big category on the global cosmetics market, Shefty International has launched a halal line called Dolce Bolle that is made from palm and olive oil and said to provide a delicate and natural alternative for sensitive baby skin.

In the newcomers section of the Japanese pavilion, visitors to Cosme Tokyo will also be able to find Trimatrai Bio Persada Recovery, a stretchmark cream from Indonesia which claims to visibly reduce signs.

And finally Blessed Products from Thailand will be highlighting its child care line in the International Area, a line that is formulated with beeswax to provide moisturizing properties for small children, and all other family members.

Cosme Tokyo and Cosme Tech

Reed Japan, organiser of the Cosme Tokyo and Cosme Tech event in Tokyo, Japan, has officially opened up registration to any visitors.

The event will take place at the Tokyo Big Sight between October 20 – 22 and has evolved into the biggest industry event in Japan and one of the biggest in the Asia Pacific region.
