The Dow Chemicals Company has launched its Pack Studios Singapore concept, a platform that aim to provide technical and market support for packaging solutions in the Southeast Asia region.

The studio is the second of its kind in the Asia Pacific region, after the Shanghai, China studio, and the sixth to be opened up worldwide.

The rollout in Singapore underscores the success of the concept as well as the continued development of the market in the Southeast Asian region, which is growing off the back of fast economic development.

Dow says that the launch of the studio aims at accelerating packaging application projects through a global network of laboratories, technical experts and testing equipment.

Collaborative innovation process

The concept also taps into a collaborative innovation process that helps customers deliver faster and more efficient commercialization of new and improved packaging for a variety of consumers goods, including cosmetics and personal care.

The studio is located in Dow’s Singapore Development Center, and the company believes the location makes it a strategic hub to serve fast-growing markets in Southeast Asia such as Thailand and Malaysia, and particularly Indonesia, where market growth has been fastest in recent years.
