Intelligent printing to transform Chinese packaging

The All in Print China 2018 press conference revealed how the printing industry is entering into the intelligent era, to boost creativity and overseas appeal.

On 10th May 2017, more than 100 attendees present gathered at the 7th All in Print China event, held in Beijing.

Visitors from neighbouring APAC countries and regions, including India, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended the printing conference, which revealed cutting-edge developments designed to transform the packaging industry and grow China’s position within the global marketplace.

Over 30 media representatives were present, alongside almost 40 leading enterprises including Toyo Ink, HP, Konica Minolta, Ricoh and Fuji Xerox, which together, are making strides towards Made in China 2025 to develop intelligent printing.

The theme of All in Print China 2018, “Enter the Era of Intelligent Printing”, was supported by the conference's innovation factory which displays various new technologies relating to evolving the printing and packaging industry, including functional printing, 3D printing, intelligence factory, green printing, virtual reality technology, augmented reality and cultural ideas.

Strategic implementation

Several speakers emphasised the importance of Chinese players moving towards intelligent printing that supports the country’s steps towards achieving Industry 4.0  and Made in China 2025 efforts, to help the nation achieve its intelligent manufacturing goals.

Through its Made in China 20125 initiative, the country hopes to combine new generation information technology and manufacturing with a clear focus on moving efforts from quantity to quality production.

Wang Yanbin, Director, The Printing Technology Association of China, introduced the event and highlighted how the international economy and manufacturing industry are experiencing high downward pressure. Despite this, Yanbin emphasised how the Chinese economy has remained strong by development achievements and market potential.

Industry support

He Chunliang, Vice General Manager of China Cultural Industry Development Corporation (CCDC) stated how the CCDC supports All in Print’s efforts and strives to “make it an important window for the promotion of openness and cooperation of the printing industry”. With the support of the CCDC, the printing industry will seek to provide “more connections and channels for the integrated development of the printing industry and the culture and idea industry”.
