The feminine wash complements a range of personal care products from Bali Secret, all based on herbal and natural remedies traditionally used by the population of South East Asia, derived from leaves, roots, seeds and flowers from Indonesia's rainforest.
The wash is based on extract of oak gall, also known as Manjakani, a herbal remedy rich in tannin, calcium, iron, and vitamins A, B and E, used for centuries in traditional medicine.
The presence of the oak gall is said to strengthen and tighten weak vaginal muscles due to its astringent and ant-oxidant properties, that may help to reverse the loss of elasticity due to aging and childbirth.
It is also said to be anti-microbial and antiseptic, therefore discouraging infection and undesirable odours.
Furthemore, the wash contains extracts from betel pepper leaves, long used by the Balinese for its antiseptic properties, aloe vera that helps to reduce inflammation and vitamin E that, as an anti-oxidant, neutralises free radicals and protects cells from oxidation.
Bali Secret's range also contain body scrubs claiming to be 99 per cent natural, using a fine rice grain scrub to gently exfoliate the skin, and contain olive oil and vitamin E as moisturisers.
Coming in four variants the scrubs make use of a wide range of natural extracts well known for their positive benefits.
The fruit scrub contains lemon, starfruit and pineapple extracts recognised for their antioxidant properties, and the spice scrub features extracts of nutmeg oil, clove oil and ginger for their stress relieving properties.
The company claims its products contain no chemical or synthetic derivatives, or petroleum preservatives, and are formulated in an attempt to meet the growing needs of those seeking natural and herbal, health and beauty aids.
Bali Secret is a registered trademark of Binari Singapore, and the company states it is currently looking for international distributors for their products.
It is not the only South Asian personal care company attempting to break into the international market; it follows a recent announcement from Filipino based company Splash aiming at market expansion into North America and Europe for their natural-based products.
Furthermore, the company's ethos, concentrating on traditional local herbal and natural remedies, reflects a wider trend in personal care products, with many companies announcing the release of traditional, natural products for example UK based Herbline's ayurvedic range.
