Fenchem opens cosmetics business sector
The company has traditionally focused on nutritional supplements and functional food ingredients, but recent years have seen a number of new releases targeting the cosmetics market.
Primarily the company concentrated on ingredients that could potentially cross over between the two sectors.
However, this year’s Suppliers Day and in-cosmetics shows provided a platform to launch new cosmetics ingredients including a sodium hyaluronate ingredient HyaMax and a nano zinc oxide UV.
According to Fenchem, the creation of a business segment focusing on cosmetics was a natural next step for business growth.
Central European location
The company has also recently opened a European head office in the Czech Republic.
According to Fenchem’s Wang Xiaoling, the location was chosen for its central position within Europe.
Bordering Germany, Austria, Poland and Slovakia, Xiaoling said the Czech Republic’s position would help Fenchem serve its European customers quicker, guaranteeing quicker delivery within the region.
This follows the opening of the US offices in 2007 which are based in Chino, California.
