in-cosmetics Asia to open its doors in Bangkok next week
With online registration now closed for the in-cosmetics Asia event in Bangkok next week, final preparations are falling into place for what the organizer promises will be the biggest ever event, and the Cosmetics Design team will be there to cover it.

The doors to the three day long event will be opening on Tuesday November 6th, at the BITEC, one of Asia's leading venues for industry trade shows, which also reflects the significant growth of the event in recent years on the back of fast-growing demand for increasingly sophisticated cosmetics and personal care products throughout the region.

With developed markets in the West continuing to struggle under the weight of economic problems and slowing consumer spend, the cosmetics market in Asia has continued to expand, with Euromonitor predicting that it will reach the same size as the Western European market by 2014.

The Cosmetics Design team will be there!

Looking at developments on individual company stands, the various pavillions, the conference program, workshops and the innovation zone, as well as clueing in on all the emerging trends apparent at the event, the Cosmetics Design team will be covering all bases.

We shall also be covering the industry awards at the event, which this year includes the addition of a brand new award aimed at recognizing innovation in the Asian cosmetics industry.

The in-cosmetics Asia Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award 2012 will be joined by the addition of the Cosmetics & Toiletries R&D Awards 2012, with the new award recognizing two winners, for the Best New Ingredient and Most Creative Application.

Innovation Zone and seminars

In line with the focus on innovation, the event will also devote a significant amount of floor space to the innovaiton zone, which will showcase new products on the market, while a series of innovation seminars will provide in depth innovations on many of the most cutting edge new products at the event.

A series of 24 Innovation Seminars presentations will focus on ingredients and formulation techniques, including the latest technologies from Rahn. Mibelle and Lubrizol.

The innovation zone will combine a number of the latest products to be launched on to the market, and will also be complimented by market researcher Mintel, which will be demonstrating a number of handpicked products representing all the major cosmetic categories.

Biggest show in the event's five year history

“This is the biggest show in our five-year history, with up to 300 exhibitors set to take their place and more than 5,000 visitors expected," said Sarah Gibson, exhibition director at in-cosmetics Asia.

"in-cosmetics Asia is the must-attend event for anyone involved in the personal care industry in Asia and we’re looking forward to opening the doors to encourage innovation, education and the sharing of knowledge across the region.”

This year will also see the workshops at the event playing a far bigger part than before, with the Haircare event topping the agenda, backed up by other workshops focusing on regulations in Asia, together with an advanced and  basic formulation workshops.
