Leading cosmetics and personal care name, Shiseido, revealed it had been awarded the prestigious recognition from Institutional Investor on 23rd May 2018.
The award came after Shiseido was selected for the win in the household and personal care sector of the 2018 All-Japan Executive Team Rankings. This list was released by leading financial information magazine in the US, Institutional Investor.
Taking the top spot
The All-Japan Executive Team Rankings 2018 identifies and honours noteworthy investor relations activities of listed Japanese companies. These are collected and winners are named based on votes cast by institutional investors and analysts from all over the globe.
Shiseido attained the coveted nod of having the ”Most Honoured Company” status in the household and personal care sector as it had been ranked first in the ”Best CEOs” and ”Best CFOs” sections, along with coming third in the ”Best IR Programmes”.
A full disclosure
With a firm understanding of the securities market, Shiseido emphasised its full awareness of the relevant, timely and accurate manner that must be exercised when disclosing corporate information to investors.
To provide ongoing compliance, it will make inroads to improving its internal systems “to ensure prompt, accurate and fair disclosure to all investors at the same time and from an investor's viewpoint”.
In addition, it will also aim to lift shareholder value by building favourable relationships with the capital market and incorporating market valuations. Once obtained, feedback should then be sent back to the company's management.
