‘Not just a nice-to-have’: Biologi's 100% active ingredient sheet masks targets skin on the cellular level

This marks Biologi’s entry into the facial masks category, on top of its current product range spanning eye, lip, body, face serums and moisturizers, face and body oil, cleansers, exfoliants, and sunscreens. 

Its facial mask range spans Hydra Boost targeting ageing concerns, Hydra Calm for sensitive and stressed skins, and Hydra Balance for oily and combination skins. They are available in a single sheet, pack of four, or bundled with other products.

Its co-founder and managing director Lucy Kuper said of the new range: “When compared to sheet masks in the current market, most are often considered as a nice-to-have self-care ritual or even last addition to a skin care regime. However, our sheet masks differ because they are a must-have in a skin care routine. ​

“They are designed to completely elevate skin care results, targeting specific skin concerns, and offering those extra results customers are after. For example, someone experiencing a pre-menstrual breakout can benefit from using Biologi’s Hydra Balance Mask at that time of the month, which will really help reduce breakouts and provide relief to the skin,”​ she explained.

Ingredients found in its facial mask products include rosella flower extract, snowflower leaf extract, kawakawa leaf extract, as well as a specific host of phyto-actives for each targeted concern.

Justifying the higher-than-average price point (AUD $28 / USD $18.90), Kuper said that its bio cellulose technology “works on the skin on a cellular level and provide long lasting results, rather than just feeling nice for a few moments.”​

“The bio cellulose is formulated with fermented coconut fruit extract, made from a completely natural material (containing no parabens, sulfates, or phthalates). This allows the delivery of higher moisture content and increased hydration than many other masks because it creates a barrier that almost completely blocks any evaporation. It also allows for better absorption of the active ingredients and ensures it sits comfortably on the skin,” s​he added.

It also prides itself on the use of eco-friendly materials – with mask sheets made from fully-compostable coconut fibres and packaged in a pouch that is recyclable via soft packaging.
