Anua set to unveil ceramide product backed by Cosmax’s new Coincelle delivery tech

South Korean skin care brand Anua will introduce a new ceramide product empowered by Cosmax’s new Coincelle delivery system.

The brand’s parent company, The Founders signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the South Korean ODM major in October to utilise the technology.

Coincelle was described by Cosmax as a coin-shaped delivery system with a particle size of less than 50 nanometres in width and four to six nanometres length.

Its size allows for effective penetration of the skin's stratum corneum.

Menard study identifies diglycerides as crucial to skin stem cell growth

Japanese company Menard Cosmetics has found a component within sweet cherry seeds that it believes increases skin stem cells.

Menard has previously established the efficacy of sweet cherry (Prunus avium) seed extract and its ability to stimulate skin stem cell growth.

This study aimed to delved deeper to isolate the specific active compound that increased skin stem cells.

Through a detailed analysis, researchers identified diglycerides, a fatty acid ester, as the component that was responsible for increasing stem cells.

Kosé study shows how stress weakens the skin barrier by increasing adrenaline in skin

A study by the Kosé Corporation has demonstrated how psychological stress negatively impacts skin barrier function by increasing levels of adrenaline in the epidermis.

The latest research by the Japanese beauty company focused on the relationship between adrenaline and the skin.

Part of this research was presented at the 34th International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) Academic Conference held October 14 to 17, in Brazil.

L’Oréal’s Japanese research and innovation team has developed a new method objectively evaluating the coverage of makeup foundation using hyperspectral imaging (HSI).

The research proposed HSI as a powerful tool for objective coverage assessment, surpassing the limitations of traditional colour imaging.
