Can aging of neurons impact fibroblasts and therefore skin youth?Initiated in the 2000’S,Neurocosmetic refers to topical ingredients that work on the cutaneous nervous system to restore the mediator-receptor balance in the skin. Nerves endings have indeed key function and place in the skin. In the dermis they are continuously communicating with fibroblasts; but can aging of neurons impact fibroblasts and therefore skin youth? Treating this issue opens the door to new neurocosmetic strategies, not only focused on neuromediators, but on the impact of neurons aging on skin homeostasis and aging.
