Founded in 1964, Sederma became a member of the Croda International Group in 1997. Sederma is dedicated to the development of active ingredients and in the creation of innovative concepts for Cosmetics, based on the mastery of biotechnology, fine chemistry and vegetal extraction.

Located near Paris, all Sederma activities, from R&D and manufacturing to administration and warehousing, are gathered in a 7900 m² complex.

Sederma is a world leader in the field of active ingredients intended for the Cosmetic industry. We have developed a unique range of biochemical actives, with substantiated efficacy for sebum regulation, wrinkle reduction, skin firming, protection from free radicals and a host of other benefits. We offer a wide range of cosmetic ingredients for skin and hair care products which are internationally sold to all major cosmetic manufacturers

With the recent acquisition of the company Istituto di Ricerche Biotecnologiche (IRB) by Croda, Sederma is now also offering an array of plant stem cell ingredients with guaranteed efficacy, reproducibility and absolute sustainability.

Equipped with a high performance and modern claim substantiation laboratory, Sederma uses powerful in vitro​, ex vivo​ and in vivo ​tests to prove the efficacy of our products.

Sederma strives for continuous improvement of quality and service, it has received the following certifications: ISO 14001 in 2003, OHSAS 18001 in 2007 and recently the Cosmetic Ingredient Good Manufacturing Practice.
