ecostore is taking its Antipodean natural-based personal care range to the United States, in the hope of tapping into huge growth in that market.

The company, which makes bar soap, shampoo and baby personal care products, says that the ecostore brand will be available online, with the products being distributed through the US-devoted website, www.ecostoreusa.com.

Tapping into the consumer shift towards natural-based products, the company markets its personal care and household products on the strength that they contain no harmful chemicals, and in the case of the household products, no detergents.

Products that 'educate'

“ecostore has been extremely active in New Zealand, Australia and Europe in bringing sustainable products into individual’s homes in addition to educating children and families about our fragile ecology,” said founder Malcom Rands.

“Our company is firmly planted in delivering products that contain no nasty chemicals, which means our products are friendly to the planet and to individuals.”

The ecostore products are marketed on the strength that they don’t contain synthetic or harmful substances such as petrochemicals, phosphates, nitrates, chlorine, ammonia or artificical perfumes and dyes.

Safer, eco-friendly ingredients

Likewise the company claims that its products use safe ingredients from renewable sources, meet the highest environmental standards, have not been tested on animals and are free from any ingredients or substances that have been genetically engineered.

This means that the company uses sustainably sourced plant- and mineral-based ingredients, which, after use, results in a greywater that is completely eco-friendly, meaning it can be recycled for applications such as lawn and garden use.

ecostore was established in 1993 and has developed into a leading brand in the Australian and New Zealand markets for natural-based household goods.
