L’Oreal appoints a new Chief Innovation Officer

L’Oreal has announced the appointment of Jacques Challes to the position of Chief Innovation Officer of its Innovation Department.

Jacques Challes joined L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division in 1982 where he held the positions of Marketing Director in France and then in the Euro zone in 1989. From there he joined the top management of L’Oréal Paris in London in 1992 before being appointed to International General Manager of Garnier in 2000 and then Managing Director of India in 2008.

According to the global cosmetics player, its Innovation Department plays a major role within the R&I Department, in discovering and identifying new growth opportunities by the upstream development of major innovations and key breakthrough projects.

Challes succeeds Nicolas Rosselli who is set to retire on the 1st​ of July.
