UK-based natural cosmetics ingredients maker Oat Cosmetics says it is advancing the global distribution of its product line to Australia on the back of continued growth.

The company confirmed that it has signed up Cee Chem Australia as its exclusive distributor in the country, a factor which it says underlines the growing demand for natural-based products from consumers all over the world.

Australia has long been a strong market for natural and organic-based cosmetic and personal care products, and combined with continued strong economic growth in recent years, the consumer market has remained buoyant, despite a downturn in Western markets.

Cee Chem is leading ingredients distributor in Australia

Cee Chem is one of the leading ingredients distributors in the Australian market, and claims to cover approximately 95 per cent of the personal care market there.

With the addition of the Oat Cosmetics ingredients range, the distribution company has been able to build on its existing portfolio, which is based around preservatives, emulsifiers, oils and esters, with the new range of sustainably sourced ‘green’ ingredients.

The company will distribute Oat Cosmetics portfolio of Ecocert products, which are formulated as flours and oils, and include a high-performance colloidal oatmeal, a premium oat oil and the first Ecocert superfine oat flour.

Building on expanded global distribution

“We attribute the global demand we are experiencing for our oat-derived ingredients to the fact that Oat Cosmetics caters for the growing number of manufacturers and formulators which prioritise both ethics and efficacy,” said Cark Maunsell, Director at Oat Cosmetics.

“Our ingredients are natural and traceable but, due to our patented processing technologies, they also have enhanced moisturising, soothing and rejuvenating properties for formulations with significant consumer benefits.”

The company entered the cosmetics market in 2010 and as part of its aggressive expansion policy it already has extensive distribution throughout North America, Europe, Africa and India.
