The countdown to the opening of the Home and Personal Care Ingredients exhibition and conference has begun with the doors to the two day exhibition due to open in Mumbai on February 28th.

The event aims to platform all the latest innovations, trends and product launches in this fast growing segment, profiling both domestic and international players, both large and small.

This year is expected to be the biggest show to date, with 11 new exhibitors platforming their companies latest developments, including Biospectrum, Bloomage Freda Biopharm, Evonik, Momentive Performance Material and Tradeindia.

Education programme extended

The organisers also claim that the educations program will be the largest to date, which will include a new technical seminars programme, an ISCC conference programme and a formulation workshop added to this year’s agenda.

The ISCC science conference is a day-long programme to be held on February 28th that will address some of the most pressing issues in the area of research and development, including how changing consumer trends are affecting this area, capped off by a group discussion that will focus on how market challenges and opportunities are expected to evolve over the next seven years.

The formulation workshop will take place on March 1st and will be hosted by two leading European speakers, Dr Luigi Rigano and Dr. Juergen Lademann, who will be focusing on the topics drug delivery using nanoparticles, as well as cosmetic formulation and sensory strategy.

Technical seminars for personal care

The technical seminars for cosmetic applications will take place on February 28th and will largely concentrate on some of the most innovative and advanced ingredients to be launched or showcased at the event.

A total of 18 presentations, mostly lasting around 20 minutes, are scheduled, including one from market researcher Mascot Universal focusing on the key trends in the India beauty market, Evonik presenting about advances in sustainable ingredients and Croda Europe discussing advances in long lasting moisturisation in humidity.

This year’s event will take place in Hall 6 of the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, while other HPCI events are also planned in Turkey for September of this year, while events in Brazil and Poland are both planned for October.
