The organisers of the PCHi event, which opens its doors in Shanghai next month, claim the event will be the biggest to date, with more exhibitors and numerous new elements to the programme.

This year the event, will feature an extended conference programme, a new products showcase, an expanded packaging zone, a bigger Nexus networking event and two separate awards programmes to recognise industry innovation, design and achievements.

The seventh PCHi will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, February 19 – 21, and will feature new elements, being marketed as a one-stop shop for cosmetic industry players in China, Asia and worldwide, according to show organizer Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.

New Product Showcase

Brand new at this year’s event will be the New Product Showcase, which will be a dedicated area on the show floor where products from participating exhibitors will be platformed.

The area will feature a number of mini booths , manned by exhibitor represents, which will allow interested parties to enquire about the new products, and find out more about their development and functionality.

Likewise, one of the biggest changes to the show will be seen in the conference programme, which this year will feature five tracks, highlighting presentations giving in-depth analysis on various aspects of the industry.

Those five conference segments include:

  • Skin Penetration
  • Hair Care and Scalp
  • Marketing Trends
  • Rules and Regulations
  • Global Packaging


    The conference programme will also run concurrently with the New Technology Session, which will take place on the exhibition floor and will feature the latest science and technology innovations from a selection of exhibitors.


    And even more focus on new launches at the event will be highlighted by the Product Sourcing Seminar, which like the New Technology Session, is a free means to make contact companies that are platforming new products.


    Also new in 2013 is the New Product Showcase, which will allow visitors the opportunity to browse to browse a collection of new product launches on the show floor, and have queries answered on the spot at various spots throughout the show floor.

     Packaging get the spotlight

    Meanwhile, new packaging innovations and products will also be highlighted in the Packaging Zone, which is billed as a one-stop shop for all that is new in this category.


    The Packaging Zone will be boosted by the presence of market research expert Mintel, which will also be giving a key note presentation as part of the Personal Care Packaging track for the conference programme.


     Finally, the event will also feature two awards – the China Personal Care & Cosmetics Innovation Awards and the PCHi awards – both of which will be highlighting major industry achievements for products, brands and show achievements.
