The PCHi event is set to open its doors tomorrow, and is set to be the biggest edition to date, with more exhibitors, visitors and an expanded conference programme.

The Cosmetic Design Asia team will be at the event and senior editor Simon Pitman will be making a presentation about how to leverage the media to grow your business at the marketing conference track, as well as bringing all the highlights from the show.

The event alternates each year between Guangzhou and Shanghai, but as Shanghai is the most significant economic region in China and a hub for the cosmetics and personal care industry, this is expected to be reflected in both the exhibitor and visitor numbers.

Conference programme includes a Cosmetics Design presentation

This year the event will feature an extended product zone, to promote new products being launched at the event, together with a significantly expanded conference programme.

The programme will be split into a total of eight specific tracks, which will include Rules & Regulation, Global Packaging, a Product Sourcing Seminar and a Marketing Trend seminar.

Titled ‘How to make the business media work for you’, the presentation will be given by Cosmetics Design's senior editor Simon Pitman, and will take place on February 21st, at 10am, in the marketing conference hall.

This in depth presentation aims to give you a look inside the media, to demonstrate how we work, and how you as a business can make a press communication resonate with journalists, upping the chances of seeing your company’s story published.

Conference programme also includes skin penetration and anti-ageing hair care

Other highlights of the conference programme will include a track on Skin Penetration, Sensorial Ingredients/Technologies and Formulating with Advanced Materials, which will include presentations from Majella Lane on new age formulations and Steven Issacman, who will speak about peptidomimetics for cosmetic applications.

There will also be a Scalp Care & Hair Anti-Ageing track, which will include presentations from Kunio Shimada on anti-ageing hair care and the positive effect of scalp massage, together with Hiroki Fujinaga, who will also talk about the latest anti-ageing hair care technologies from Japanese personal care giant Kao.

The seventh PCHi will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, February 19 – 21, and will feature new elements, being marketed as a one-stop shop for cosmetic industry players in China, Asia and worldwide, according to show organizer Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions.
