Innovation will be playing a vital part of this year’s PCHi event, which will be held in Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre, 12 – 14 March 2015.

In recent years the event has developed into a premier trade platform for the cosmetics industry in China and worldwide, highlighting the latest ingredients and technologies that are helping companies to maintain a competitive edge in this fast evolving market.

Last year the event took place in Shanghai, but with the location alternating between the two biggest cosmetics hubs in the country, it has come round to Guangzhou being the host city again.

Eighth edition expected to attract 9,000 visitors

The 8th edition of the event will command 25,000 square metres of floor area and more than 9,000 visitors are expected over the course of the three days.

“Innovation remains at the forefront of PCHi, and our aim is to inspire new product creations that can ultimately help to propel the industry forward,” said Elynn Xu, Project Manager at Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE).

“We have incorporated several feature areas and activities into the show, and they are designed to provide maximum exposure for the new products and technologies presented by our exhibitors, bringing the industry up-to-date with the latest trends.”

All about the innovation

With many leading suppliers and manufacturers located in the Guangzhou, Shenzhen and surrounding areas in Guangdong province, the organisers say this should help up the stakes when it comes to the types of innovation on display on the show floor.

The spotlight for innovation is expected to be firmly on ingredients, with over 435 suppliers, distributors, together with a number of packaging machinery providers, lining the floor with booths.

Innovation on the ingredients side will see the platforming of 128 new ingredients and solutions at the event, which should make it the premier event for formulation innovation in the region.

Showcasing new products and packaging

Highlighting some of the latest formulation innovation will be the New Products showcase, which is where around 12 of the most eye-catching and technically advanced new ingredients will be showcased.

Likewise, there will also be a Packaging Products Showcase, highlighting the latest in packaging design and materials, as well as the Mintel Packaging Innovation Zone, which will highlight some of the key trends in this area.

And don’t forget that the Cosmetics Design will also be attending the event, bringing you all the news and photos.
