K-Beauty Bangkok Expo, a new collaboration with Kintex (Korea International Exhibition Centre), will feature at this year’s Beyond Beauty ASEAN-Bangkok (BBAB) annual cosmetics trade show and conference between 22-24 September 2016.

BBAB, which will be held at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand, will welcome Korea’s largest and renowned beauty show, K-beauty.

Kintex Korea, based in Goyang City, is opening its first K-Beauty expo, and will launch in a joint premiere with Southeast Asia’s largest professional beauty exhibition, BBAB.

This collaboration will make the three-day expo Southeast Asia’s largest beauty trade platform, with the highest number of Korean exhibitors present.

Korean Cosmetics

The K-Beauty Bangkok Expo will see 150 prominent Korean beauty companies showcase their various beauty products and the latest Korean trends.

BBAB reports that the popularity of Korean beauty products amongst Thai consumers is increasing due to the recognition and strength of the Korean Wave.

It states that popular dramas including Descendants of the Sun and the K-pop trend have driven the region’s presence within the APAC cosmetics and beauty market.

Korean beauty from all categories

Korean beauty products from the cosmetics, hair and nail care, inner beauty food, smart beauty devices, cosmeceutical, and medical sectors will be on display for attendees to experience.

K-Beauty Expo Bangkok 2016 will appeal to consumer demand with make-up demonstrations, a hair styling show and a Korean beauty industry trend seminar that focuses on the latest in K-Beauty insight and development.

“In order to support the rapidly growing demand of our cosmetic products overseas, the K-Beauty Expo Bangkok aims to find more partnership with international companies. We hope that our beauty industry will advance globally and contribute to the growing markets in Southeast Asia," said Kim Sang Wook, Vice President of Marketing, Kintex, at a press conference.

Chang-Yuel Lim, President & CEO, Kintex, went on to say: "K-Beauty Expo Bangkok 2016 represents an excellent opportunity to develop close economic cooperation between Korea and Thailand”.
