Sino-Label 2017, which will take place in China, will house a variety of leading brands demonstrating their cutting-edge label printing technologies.

The China International Exhibition on Label Printing Technology 2017, otherwise known as Sino-Label 2017, will be held between 1st and 3rd March 2017 at China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, PR China.

Citing recent report findings, Sino-Label organisers state that due to the increasing demand for labels from China and India, the label market in the APAC region will rise from $12.41 bn in 2015 to $18.30 bn by 2021, at a CAGR of 6.69%.

Alexander Watson Associates’ The Asian Labeling and Product Decoration Market Study 2015 also indicated that Asia is the largest label market, with China contributing over half of the region’s demand, followed by India and Japan at 15% and 11% respectively.

New processes

Variable data printing has seen an increase in worldwide production, covering 13% of produced labels. As short production cycles high efficiency, reduced waste and low costs are hallmarks of digital printing, features on variable data printing and on-demand printing could meet growing demand from brands looking for short run production and customisation in the label printing market.

Tipped as China’s one-stop printing and labelling Expo, Sino-Label 2017 covers various sectors within the industry including labelling printing machines, label printing materials, label print finishing equipment and services.

At the event, Beijing Founder Electronics will show its variable data label printing machine, which has been specially designed to produce customised and anti-counterfeit labels. Che Fung will also display its digital label printing and packaging printing presses, which can be used on printing self-adhesive labels, anti-counterfeit labels, films and heat transfer labels.

Exhibitors specialising in digital printing will attend the event located in China, which is a dominant force in revolutionising the Chinese and APAC packaging design sector. As consumers demand innovative and creative packaging, companies are looking outside of the box to gain customer appeal and maintain loyalty.

Production efficiency

As brands look to optimise their production methods and speeds, exhibitors will focus on maximising techniques and processes to ensure their products reach shelves faster. Brotech Graphics will show its printed label converting and finishing system, which features a semi-rotary printing unit specially designed for digital print finishing to save time during production.

With the Industrial 4.0 era approaching the cosmetics and packaging industries, Guangzhou TrojanJet Intelligent Technologies will focus on developing industrial robots and new energy products and application, as well as integrating such technologies into digital printing.
