With the New Year comes new leadership at The Estée Lauder Companies

Commenting on the leadership moves CEO Fabrizio Freda says, “Our company has experienced outstanding success developing multiple engines of growth across categories, channels, and geographies. Our fragrance portfolio and our business in Asia / Pacific, primarily fueled by China, continue to generate impressive growth. I am thrilled to appoint a diverse group of seasoned global leaders who embrace creativity, innovation, and a digital-first mindset to lead these engines of growth for the Company.”​

Fragrance portfolio​

Three leadership changes are set to take place among the company’s fragrance brands.

Fabrice Weber will become the president of Prestige and Artisanal Fragrances and ELC Ventures. Patrice Béliard will become the senior vice president and global general manager of Aramis and designer fragrances. And, the current global brand president of Aramis and designer fragrances, Daniel Annese, will take a fixed-term role, “supporting the international expansion of Smashbox, GLAMGLOW, and BECCA,”​ according to the company announcement. Then in January of 2019, Annese will retire. 

Business in Asia​

Starting in January, Mark Loomis will be president of Asia / Pacific. Joy Fan will be senior vice president and general manager of China; and her role will also include regional oversight of the company’s global consumer engagement project. Christopher K Wood will be senior vice president of the region.
