Why the big cosmetics buzz is all about CBD oil

The recent Cosmoprof North America event was the platform for a packed presentation about cannabis in cosmetics. Cosmetics Design caught up with one of the panelists to find out what all the excitement is about.

Denise is the co-founder and managing partner of the Benchmarking Company and during the presentation she shared her significant insight into the category, highlighted by using market research her team has conducted to find out more about the perception of this type of product in the public eye.

The three other panelists included Ronie Schmelz, Councel at Tucker Ellis LLP, who provided the crucial legal perspective, particularly with respect to claims you can and cannot make, as well as the different state laws that govern the growing and manufacturing of cannabis and CBD oil.

James Kennedy bought his expertise from the brand perspective. James is the founder of Apothecanna, a range of skin care products that have been developed using CBD oil as a base ingredient.

And Matt Stang boughts his vast experience of the market and its growth thanks to his position as chief revenue officer for High Times, which is known as the bible for professionals wanting to pursue a cannabis-, hemp- or CBD-related career.
