As consumer appetites for beauty and personal care information increases, hair care manufacturers are adopting skin care concepts and trends into their products.

This has resulted in increased sophistication in hair care products with innovations such as pre-shampoos, scalp treatments, leave-on masks and exfoliators.

In this episode of the Beauty Broadcast, we sat down with Lynn Tan, managing director of Ales Groupe Singapore, the company behind botanical hair care brand Phyto.

Tan tells us that the consumer appetite for more products is driving manufacturers like the company to continuously innovate and launch new products to meet new consumer demands.

Later, Frederica Lam, regional marketing manager of ingredients firm Lucas Meyers Cosmetics, takes us through the future potential of hair care. She discusses the potential for microbiome and the increased use of skin care ingredients in hair care formulations.
