Speaking to CosmeticsDesign-Asia via video conference, Kaur explained the obstacles she had to dodge and weave in order to launch her brand.
Her hard work has paid off as she believes more and more consumers are becoming more comfortable and appreciative of getting their skin care customised.
We also discuss the current climate of uncertainty due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
While Kaur noted that it has made it a difficult environment for all business, she believes personalised beauty brands like Yours will become more appreciated by consumers in the aftermath of this crisis.
“The larger theme around Yours is self-care and that’s essentially the bigger consumer change we are seeing now. People now have that extra two hours because they don’t have to commute or go out and they are able to use that time to invest on themselves.”
As personalisation becomes more mainstream, Kaur believes more companies will have to adopt a predictive approach to skin care in order to give consumers long-term skin care needs.
“The future for us, where we are working towards, is predictive skin care, not reactive skin care. Technology will enable us to be more predictive… It’s something we are really excited about.”
