Reed Exhibitions postpones Global and Asia in-cosmetics shows to 2022

Reed Exhibitions has again postponed its in-cosmetics trade show series due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, citing a lack of confidence amongst the beauty industry to travel and attend large-scale international events.

The in-cosmetics Global event, primed to take place in Barcelona later this year, would now be held in Paris on 5-7 April 2022 and in-cosmetics Asia on 1-3 November 2022 in Bangkok.

“We have been in continuous contact with both exhibitors and visitors, and it is clear the level of confidence to travel and attend large-scale international B2B exhibitions in the cosmetics industry is not there yet,” said Roziani Zulkifli, exhibition director of in-cosmetics Global.

“Our primary aim is to meet the expectations of our exhibitors and visitors, and this we believe will happen in 2022,” Zulkifli said.

Sara Gibson, exhibition director of in-cosmetics Asia, said that with COVID-19 cases on the rise across Asia and widespread travel bans in place, postponing the event made sense.

“We believe that the most responsible decisions at this stage is to allow time for Thailand and the ASEAN region to recover, and when safe, re-unite the Asia cosmetics community in 2022,” Gibson said.

LATAM show maintained for 2021

Reed Exhibitions maintained its 2021 schedule for its Latin America event, re-scheduling it instead to take place two months later, on 10-11 November.
