A round-up of CosmeticsDesign-Europe’s most-read news from April 2022 shows interest in a regulatory overview of natural and organic standards in cosmetics, the biggest beauty trends spotted at in-Cosmetics Global in Paris and L’Oréal’s patent on acne analysis tech.

CE.way Regulatory Consultants provided an overview of the plethora of standards and certifications available globally for the natural and organic cosmetics space, noting these had gained importance due to the lack of regulation around the two terms ‘natural’ and ‘organic’ in beauty.

L’Oréal filed an international patent on a digital system it had developed to localise and identify different types of acne – a tool that could then be linked to e-commerce platforms to make personalised product and service recommendations.
Kao Corporation also highlighted its latest packaging innovations and how these fitted in to wider circular beauty goals in the company.
