NAOS, which owns the skin care brands BIODERMA, Etat Pur, and Institut Esthederm, has just launched ‘Skin Observer,’ a new digital tool to offer customers precise skin analysis and recommend a tailormade routine for their skin.

The innovation was developed in collaboration with dermatologists and the beauty technology company Haut.AI, adjusts routines based on user preferences and dynamic skin needs, then offer the user step-by-step guidance.

It will first launch in the Latin American region, before being rolled out globally throughout 2024, across all of NAOS’ brands.

Haut.AI has extensive experience in AI-driven skincare and said it “utilises advanced algorithms based on 150+ data points for comprehensive, clinical-grade skin analysis.”

CEO of Haut.AI, Anastasia Georgievskaya shared: “Underpinned by an understanding of the skin as a dynamic ecosystem, we’ve leveraged our AI algorithms, which are grounded in world-class skin science and aging biomarker research, to offer highly effective, personalised skincare routines tailored to individual needs.”

Meanwhile, NAOS ethos has long been focused on skin health and a deep understanding of skin, prioritising balance and harmony within the skin's natural ecosystem.

NAOS’ chief digital officer Mikael Coste highlighted that this was a natural move for the French beauty company, considering it has always placed a “focus on skin health rather than surface aesthetics.”

“Our unique ecobiological approach treats the skin as a dynamic ecosystem, addressing the root causes of imbalances and promoting skin function,” said Coste.

“This partnership represents a key milestone in our mission to offer digital innovative services rooted in empowering people in their ability to better understand, take care of their skin,” he continued.

He believed that with Haut.AI's technological expertise on its side, the partnership would allow the duo to “redefine skincare, making it more personalised and effective than ever before.”
