Owned by automobile road service company FARWEST Co Ltd, the brand was started in 2022 to support the ageing needs of Japanese, focusing on NMN as a key ingredient for its products that are “easy to incorporate into daily lives”.
Besides skin care, it has also gone on to develop a hair care range and dietary supplements, as it aspires to “help people live life on their own terms no matter their age”.
Following its scalp shampoo, RASIX recently launched the second product in its hair care line, called rDDS Scalp Essence.
“Now that we are in an era where we can live up to 100 years old, we need to face ageing in a positive way. To maintain the body in a healthy condition, we focus on the next-generation ingredient NMN and include it in all of our products.
“As people get older, changes in the skin and hair can cause more problems. We have developed the rDDS Scalp Essence to address deeper concerns — it uses RASIX’s unique nanotechnology penetration formula that delivers active ingredients directly and deep into the scalp to maximise their effectiveness,” the brand stated.
Specifically, NMN is said to support hair growth, increase scalp vitality, and boost hair volume and elasticity.
The product also contains tocopherol acetate, also known as vitamin E acetate, which can reportedly improve dryness and scalp flakiness, and prevent breakage and hair loss, and help repair damage from heat styling and environmental factors.
According to the brand, a large number of plant polyphenols were screened before they were selected and included in the formulation for their skin benefits.
For instance, red perilla (siso) seed extract contains polyphenols that prevents skin roughness and reduces the impact of external stressors, and strawberry fruit extract contains antioxidant-rich polyphenols that are moisturising and provide skin cycle support.
In addition, chrysanthemum flower extract comprises polyphenols such as flavonoids and phenolic acids that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and skin whitening properties. They may also shield the skin against environmental damage.
Another key ingredient, lychee seed extract, helps reduce oxidative stress, which is often the cause of skin ageing and wrinkles.
Lychee polyphenols also improve skin firmness and elasticity, and protect skin cells from damage caused by inflammation and pollution, while its high water content keeps skin moist and supple.
“The product adopts an additives-free formula, including UV absorbers, wheat-derived ingredients and synthetic fragrances, making it safe for use even on sensitive skin.”
The rDDS Scalp Essence is currently available at RASIX’s official online shop, as well as beauty retailer Belle Sympathique at Nihombashi Takashimaya and Yokohama Takashimaya, Sapporo Mitsukoshi department store, and United Arrows outlets at Roppongi Hills and Azabudai Hills.
