Luxury skin care brand SkinCeuticals recently debuted in Singapore’s travel retail scene via The Shilla Duty Free, through which it aims to address the evolving needs of modern travellers.

The L’Oréal-owned brand is known for its science-backed, high-potency formulas that cater to specific skin concerns.

Through its retail presence at The Shilla Duty Free store in Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 and e-commerce platform iShopChangi, the brand provides access to professional-grade skin care for travellers to experience the same level of care as their beauty routines at home.

According to SkinCeuticals, this launch is more than just a brand expansion. It signals a fundamental shift in the way travellers engage with beauty and skin care while on the move.

“Today’s travel retail customers are increasingly well-informed and discerning, seeking premium skin care solutions that deliver visible results while seamlessly fitting into their on-the-go lifestyles. Many travellers face environmental stressors, such as dehydration from long-haul flights, exposure to urban pollution, and effects of changing climates, all of which can accelerate signs of ageing and skin fatigue.

“We thrive to deliver science-backed skin care products with maximised efficacy from innovation and dermatological expertise. Recognising the increasing demand for sophisticated skin care in emerging markets, Singapore’s matured market presents the perfect gateway to South East Asia (SEA) and beyond.

“With The Shilla Duty Free as a renowned travel retailer and Changi Airport’s high global recognition, we are confident that this providential collaboration will ensure the accessibility of high-performance skin care, empowering global travellers to maintain healthy and youthful skin no matter where their journey takes them,” the brand told CosmeticsDesign-Asia.

As part of this new move, it has introduced the A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Face Cream, which claims to target visible signs of ageing caused by advanced glycation end products (AGEs), including wrinkles, skin firmness, and dullness.

To address the skin concerns of frequent flyers, the brand also offers routine-driven travel exclusive sets — namely Anti-Aging System, Antioxidant System, and Brightening System — featuring distinct high-efficacy solutions tailored to the needs of travellers.

In addition, SkinCeuticals’ retail design combines “a sleek and medical professional aesthetic with scientific storytelling”, complemented by the advanced SkinScope 2.0 tool that provides personalised skin analysis.

At the centre of SkinCeuticals’ travel retail debut is the launch of A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra Face Cream, a “Changi 1st” release that is only available at The Shilla Duty Free store and iShopChangi.

Changi 1st is a programme that features exclusive launches and concept pop-ups from global brands, so travellers can be among the first to experience new products.

SkinCeuticals said that the face cream is an anti-ageing innovation targeting glycation, an often-overlooked factor in skin ageing that occurs when excess sugar molecules weaken collagen and elastin, hastening the formation of deep wrinkles, loss of firmness, and dullness.

This “next-generation formulation” harnesses the power of cutting-edge 34.4% Flavo-Proxylane (130% Proxylane + 4.4% wild fruit flavonoid complex from blueberry and pomegranate concentrate), and is clinically tested to increase lifting by 17% and firmness by 22%, and reduce visible signs of ageing and wrinkles by 20%.

Aside from the A.G.E. Interrupter Ultra, travellers passing through Changi Airport will also be able to purchase some of SkinCeuticals’ most popular products.

These include P-Tiox, a peptide-based serum designed to reduce the appearance of nine types of expression lines and deliver glass skin radiance; C E Ferulic, a patented daytime vitamin C serum that claims to improve fine lines and wrinkles, firmness, and brighten skin tone.

Another product is Advanced Brightening UV Defense Sunscreen SPF50+, which provides broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays, preventing sun-induced discolouration and reducing existing hyperpigmentation while moisturising skin simultaneously.
