Lotus Professional is a division within Lotus Herbals that specialises in both in-salon treatments and products for at-home care.
According to Nitin Passi, chairman and managing director of Lotus Herbals, professional skin care has moved from routine facials to “protocol-based, results-led” treatments.
“Consumer demand for safety and efficacy has forced brands to ditch cosmetic fluff and embrace actives fused with nature-based science. At Lotus Professional, our bottom line is transformation happens in the salon; retention and post-treatment care happens at home.
“Our strategy is simple: own both protocol and maintenance, which are crucial aspects of any salon therapy. We deliver in-salon professional outcomes and extend those results via home-care SKUs that mirror salon back-bar services to protect, nourish, and enhance results between visits,” he told CosmeticsDesign-Asia.
In addition, he said that the hybridisation of beauty is a profit multiplier — by linking in-salon treatments with at-home regimes to maximise customer lifetime value.
“The next decade will be AI-driven tech plus touch! While we weaponise technology with our DermoSCAN+ diagnostic, setting the pace for personalisation, our core remains unchanged — green science formulas that guarantee safety, trust, and long-term brand equity.
“The growth levers are defined. Tier 2 and 3 premiumisation is our next growth engine, as rising incomes fuel demand in small-town salons. White spaces across the Middle East, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), European Union (EU), and South East Asia (SEA) open up scale for India-led green science exports.”
When it comes to goals, Lotus Professional has a “non-negotiable mindset” — to capture category share, not parity; and to become a top-of-mind brand for professional skin care in South Asia.
Passi shared that the division’s future playbook, called Next-Gen Green Science Arsenal, is built on the latest technology and innovation while staying true to its roots of being ethically eco-conscious. “Every launch will fuse our salon-first protocols and retail home care lines while expanding into Micro Zones (eye, neck, lips, and nails) to capture untapped white spaces.”
Marking milestones
Lotus Professional recently marked its 20th anniversary with a celebratory event in Armenia, where its latest innovations were unveiled. These include new facial treatments and Water Burst Range for advanced hydrating barrier repair.
These launches represented the brand’s philosophy of combining advanced actives with green science to deliver skin care that is both results-driven and sensorial.
The participation of UAE salon leaders at the event underscored Lotus Professional’s growing international influence and its ambition to raise the bar for professional beauty worldwide.
“The Lotus Beauty Carnival (LBC) is our annual signature event, a brand equity accelerator, and a symbol of industry progress. By bringing it to Armenia, an uncharted territory, we reaffirmed that our vision is not bound by geography or convention. LBC rests on loyalty, global ambition, and innovation.
“Through immersive showcases, cultural exchange, and powerful product unveilings, we celebrate milestones and set new benchmarks for the professional beauty industry — higher share of voice, higher share of shelf, and tighter partner lock-ins across our 35,000-salon network,” said Passi.
