LG H&H to double down on personalised and wearable beauty tech devices following CES win
LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) is set to double down on its R&D for next-generation beauty tech devices that integrate personalisation and wearability.
Its latest wearable device, Hyper Rejuvenating Eye Patch, was named the winner of CES 2026 Innovation Award in the beauty tech category in November. It marks the first time that LG H&H has been recognised at the major tech event.
The device combines the company’s proprietary skin analysis technology, customised ingredient delivery, and controlled light therapy.
Since its acquisition of LG Pra.L in June this year, LG H&H has been making various efforts to solidify its position in the beauty tech sector.
‘New era of skin longevity’: Amorepacific unveils next-gen personalised beauty tech
Amorepacific has jointly developed a beauty tech system with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which it says goes beyond observation to prediction and management of skin changes.
Named Skinsight, the “electronic skin” platform is able to analyse causes of skin ageing in real time and propose personalised skin care solutions tailored to individuals’ needs.
It consists of an ultra-thin wearable sensor patch, a compact Bluetooth transmission module, and an AI-powered mobile application.
Retinol alternative: Cetaphil’s new range targets pre-ageing care for sensitive skin
Cetaphil’s new product range is specifically formulated for pre-ageing sensitive skin, with a focus on supporting natural skin cell renewal.
Called Healthy Renew, it consists of an Eye Serum, Facial Serum, and Day Cream SPF 30, which have been clinically tested on sensitive skin to ensure safety and efficacy.
Unlike other Cetaphil ranges that focus on hydration, soothing or cleansing, this new line targets the pre-ageing phase by combining barrier-friendly ingredients with natural bioactivity to boost collagen and rejuvenate the skin.
Genetic aesthetics: BIOVOZ, University of Auckland partner to advance anti-ageing research
New Zealand premium skin care brand BIOVOZ has announced a strategic research partnership with the University of Auckland to accelerate the translation of science into anti-ageing innovations.
This collaboration is said to bring together academic excellence and market innovation, leveraging the university’s expertise in bioengineering as well as BIOVOZ’s pioneering technologies in gene regulation and plant-based formulations.
Through the partnership, both parties seek to unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying skin ageing and pigmentation, and achieve major scientific breakthroughs in beauty and wellness, particularly personalised, science-driven skin care solutions for women worldwide.
Kine Australia’s flushable wipes aim to overcome ‘hidden cost’ of traditional products
Kine Australia’s Body Cloths seek to provide a reliable and sustainable alternative to traditional plastic-based body wipes, balancing everyday convenience with environmental care.
Its wipes are certified to meet Australia’s flushability standard, AS/NZS 5328, a rigorous test that ensures products are safe to flush and do not cause sewer blockages to protect the country’s wastewater systems.
In addition, they are infused with chamomile, jojoba, and vitamin E to cleanse, hydrate and refresh while soothing skin and maintaining barrier health.
