Japanese personal care brand mä & më Latte is experiencing sustained popularity among parents for its hair care products that can be used by both adults and children.

Launched in 2018, the brand specialises in hair and skin care products developed based on the belief that time during and after bath are an important bonding period for parents and their children.

Its products, namely Basic line, Damage Repair line, and Rinse in Shampoo, recently came out on top for a survey that garnered 22,586 votes in total.

A key ingredient in these products is “premium double milk protein”, a moisturising ingredient derived from fermented milk with lactoferrin and Lactobacillus that is said to gently protect children’s hair while providing thorough care for adult hair.

Under the Basic series, the shampoo creates a fluffy, foamy milk-like lather, the conditioner blends easily into hair and has a non-greasy feel, and the treatment can be rinsed out immediately, saving time for busy mothers.

The Damage Repair range is targeted at adult hair that has been affected by dryness, colouring, UV rays and swimming pool chlorine, as well as children’s hair that is prone to static electricity.

As for the Rinse in Shampoo, it does not require rinsing, and can also be used for face and body. Formulated with shea butter, this product has a non-sticky finish and leaves hair smooth and tangle-free.

All the products do not contain sulphate, and are incorporated with fruity and floral fragrances that suppress scalp odour caused by sweat and sebum to offer a pleasant, long-lasting scent.

Participants were asked to vote for “convenient and useful products, services, and facilities that they have used themselves and would recommend to other parents”.

The winners were determined based on the greatest number of votes combined from all voting platforms.

mä & më Latte’s win marks its fourth consecutive year of receiving the Mother’s Selection Grand Prize.

Some of the comments from parents regarding its products include “it smells great and can be used by both adults and children”, and “easy to use as it lathers well and rinses off easily”.

“The time spent talking with your child is an irreplaceable time for parents. We will continue to develop and launch more products, with the hope that the limited bath time you spend with your child will be a relaxing one,” said Shiho Watabiki, Product Development Manager of Hair Care Marketing Department at mä & më Latte.
