For lip lovers

Luxury cosmetics brand Sisley Paris has added new shades to two of its lip product lines, Phyto-Rouge Shine and Phyto-Lèvres Perfect, to cater to a wider variety of occasions.

The Phyto-Rouge Shine range offers the shine of a gloss, comfort of a balm, and colour of a lipstick that feels lightweight yet deeply nourishing.

The newly introduced shades are namely 43 Sheer Scarlet, a deep red shade; 26 Sheer Bel Air, a pink nude shade; and 14 Sheer Acajou, a cherry brown shade — all of which are buildable and adapted based on the wearer’s needs.

Infused with kokum butter, phytosqualane, aloe vera extract and jojoba oil, the Phyto-Lèvres Perfect pencil is a lip liner that enhances lip makeup while leaving the lips soft and supple.

The pencil creates a barrier to prevent lipstick from feathering, and its brush allows for professional-style application with little skills required as well as quick touch-ups throughout the day. The latest shades added to this series are 12 Carmin and 13 Beige Rosé.

Anastasia Beverly Hills has launched a new Haze Mini Eyeshadow Palette, which comprises nine colours ranging from earth-toned neutrals to hazy hues in matte and metallic finishes.

This versatile spectrum of shades enables the creation of myriad looks from soft daytime makeup to dramatic nights.

The highly pigmented formula provides vibrant colour payoff, especially when paired with the brand’s Eye Primer, and buildable intensity at the same time.

The product packaging includes a mirror, increasing the convenience for application and touch-up on the go.

Warm like the sun

Rare Beauty’s new Warm Wishes Soft Matte Powder Bronzer is a bronzing powder with a blurred matte finish that gives the skin a natural sunlit warmth.

Its “ultra-smooth” and cream-like texture is claimed to glide onto the skin like butter and blend seamlessly without caking, creasing, settling into fine lines or affecting the base makeup.

The formula also contains vitamin-rich tomato seed oil to soothe and shield skin from environmental stressors.

Available in seven shades, the product comes in a sleek mirrored compact format for easy touch-ups.

“It’s so easy to use. A few sweeps and my skin looks naturally warm and radiant like I’ve been outside all day,” said Selena Gomez, American singer-actress and founder of Rare Beauty.

Boosting appeal to foreign consumers

Kao Group has opened an experiential event space called Kao Wow in Shinsaibashi, Osaka that is scheduled to run till end of June.

Targeting international visitors, this pop-up, which offers free admission and multilingual support, is part of Kao’s global growth strategy.

It showcases a rotating line-up of global brands — makeup brand KATE from January 19 to March 20; and skin care brands Bioré and Curél, and health and wellness brand MegRhythm from March 30 to June 30.

According to Kao, KATE will offer an immersive brand experience at Kao Wow replicating that of its flagship store in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Through hands-on makeup activities, visitors can try a wide range of products at once. These include KATE’s iconic LIP MONSTER series, which has surpassed 35m units shipped cumulatively (from April 20, 2021 to December 31, 2025), more than 100 shades of eye makeup, and new products.

While there is no sale of products on-site, visitors who share their experiences on social media will receive a special sticker gift.

“Through their experience at Kao Wow, international visitors are given opportunities to engage with KATE and other Kao brands, allowing them to experience their appeal in a more accessible way,” the Japanese cosmetics giant stated.
