Industry experts to deliver exclusive insights at in-cosmetics Asia 2018

in-cosmetics Asia is excited to welcome Sunny Um, Beauty and Fashion Research Analyst at Euromonitor, to this year’s event where she will be hosting two presentations. The first topic, ‘Beauty from within: health and wellness in skincare’, will take place on 30th October at 11.00 -11.45 in the Marketing Trends & Regulations Theatre. Sunny will focus on how consumer trends influence skincare sales and the rising demand for a more holistic approach to beauty. ‘Premiumisation, gender fluidity and active ageing in colour cosmetics’ will discuss how factors such as social media evolution and an ageing population in Asia are leading to previous stereotypes being broken and a change in the world of colour cosmetics. Sunny will discuss the key global trends in colour cosmetics and analyse which trends are relevant to Asia and how businesses can capitalise on these opportunities. Sunny will host this presentation on 31 October at 14:00 - 14:45 in the Marketing Trends & Regulations Theatre.
Sumit Chopra
As part of in-cosmetics Asia’s Spotlight On programme, Sumit will be delivering a presentation entitled, ‘Spotlight on Haircare Actives’. He is the Director of Research Analysis at GlobalData and has over 14 years of senior leadership experience in research and analysis. The APAC haircare industry is increasing at a fast rate and offers a great opportunity for businesses. Sumit will present key themes within this sector, including innovative formulations, the emergence of individualism and the increasing demand for efficiency and value for money. His presentation will run on 30 October from 12:00 - 12:45 in the Marketing Trends & Regulations Theatre. Sumit will deliver a second presentation entitled, ‘Cosmetics market opportunities in Asia’ on 31 October at 13:00 - 1345, also in the Marketing Trends & Regulations Theatre. He will examine the emergence of Asian countries in the cosmetics market, such as Indonesia and the Philippines, and discuss the importance of understanding behaviour and attitudes in contributing to trends as well as discussing innovation analysis and the latest opportunities in the Asian market.
