PCHi 2019: An active, functional and engaging experience welcomes submissions
Tipped as China's number one sourcing platform for the global personal care industry, PCHi opens registration for its 2019 showcase.

The 12th Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) event is gearing up to welcome insiders, producers and providers in the fields of cosmetics, home and personal care, ingredients, cosmetics packaging, machinery and product testing.

As PCHi 2019 gets ready to opens its doors to cosmetics and personal care professionals between 26th-28th February 2019, its organisers Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) have announced pre-registration for the China-based event.

What can we expect?

Anticipating 600 industry names from over 30 countries and regions, Guangzhou Poly World Trade Centre will be home to a wide array of cutting-edge innovations and technology set to, or already having an impact, on how we engage with cosmetics today.

The popular showcase will once again revisit its evergreen show segments at PCHi 2019, which include its conference programme, new products showcase and new technology sessions. New event highlights are also currently under planning and will be announced ahead of February’s event.

Peter LIU, PCHi Project Manager at RSE, shared: “PCHi has grown significantly over the last eleven years, both in terms of size and stature, and we welcomed 21,856 trade visitors from 58 countries and regions in attendance at the 2018 event.”

“We look forward to adding greater value to both our exhibitors and visitors at PCHi 2019, providing each attendee with a rewarding experience through engaging learning and networking opportunities.”

Rewarding the industry

Following its launch in 2016, the Fountain Awards will return to acknowledge and encourage advancing research capabilities and enhance leading technologies. Focusing on developments in technology, packaging and personal contributions, companies are now able to submit their nominations in the fields of active ingredients, functional ingredients, green and sustainable beauty, non-ingredient products and technologies, as well as entries for the outstanding individual of the year award.

The ingredients-centred event will explore key trends in the active ingredients field, namely moisturising and hydrating, anti-ageing, and whitening and brightening. Emulsification and stability along with sensory enhancement will be core areas of interest in the functional ingredients category.

A panel of judges will select the winners in each field based on a set of criteria that explores innovation, technology and market applicability. This panel will be comprised of established domestic and international scientific researchers from renowned institutions and industry veterans from top cosmetics manufacturing companies. However, the event's organisers are remaining tight-lipped on the identities of the judging panel until the review process is over as it focuses on integrity, fairness and transparency, it highlighted in a recent release.

Prestigious names from PCHi’s Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC) and the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) will make up the industry panel.
