Specialty chemicals firm is feeling the benefit of the Asia-Pacific market having given it special focus, culminating in the success and attention its personal care ingredients received recently at the Home and Personal Care Ingredients Exhibition & Congress (HPCI) in India.

It was the first time the Germany-headquartered firm has exhibited at the show, and having received a good reception for its anti-aging serum, bb cream and hair care formulations; it appears to be making its presence felt in the market.

Strengthen presence

"Evonik's presence for the first time in HPCI India is meaningful because with increasing disposable income and developing economy, India is one of the growing markets of priority for personal care products,” Peter Becker, Evonik’s head of Corporate Responsibility for the Personal Care business line said.

"The response Evonik received during this maiden initiative is encouraging and we plan to continue in this direction for the next few years."

Also Rahul Marulkar, business manager for Personal Care in India, also expressed his satisfaction about the response during the exhibition.

"The key achievement of our participation in HPCI was to further strengthen our relationship with our customers and industry experts. Based on the feedback we have received during this event, we will take key steps to ensure positive growth for the personal care business in India."

Participation

Evonik’s booth displayed its latest personal care products and formulations at the show, including TEGOSOFT AC and OER, as well as Stemlastin, Cistus, Feel Green, and Care PSC 3 from the TEGO line, and the Soft AF 300, Soft AF 200 and ME 45, from its ABIL line.

On top of its booth presence at the show, Peter Becker also held a technical seminar on "Advances in sustainable ingredients" which has received a positive response from the attendees.

The HPCI exhibition was organized by SOFW and IGCC and took place in Mumbai, hosting 143 national and international exhibitors from the Personal Care, cosmetics, detergents and home care ingredients industries, including raw materials and chemicals suppliers.
