Switzerland-based cosmetic ingredients company Induchem has announced the opening of its first official sales office in Singapore.

The company says that the office is well placed to service its clients throughout the Asia Pacific region, together with providing support to its distribution network that is located throughout the region.

The new office is expected to be fully operational this month and will be headed up by Frederic Serres, who has 14 years of technical and sales experience in the field of cosmetics, particularly in his former position at Seppic, where he gained expertise in active ingredients.

Building on Induchem’s position in Asia Pacific

In his new position Serres will be in charge of Induchem’s distribution network throughout the Asia Pacific region, and will be responsible for further developing Induchem’s position in this growing market.

Our company has been on an expansion fast track in the past few years. We have always been very close to our Asian customers, and we would like to further increase our level of support to our Asian distributors and key accounts in this region by providing a direct access through this office,” said Peter Schweikert, CEO of Induchem.

The opening of this representative office in a geographical central place like Singapore is another significant step in the development of our business, and will reinforce our customer and partner intimacy model.”

Targeting the region’s anti-ageing and hair care categories

Induchem has carved out a name for itself in the active ingredients cosmetics market, and in Asia will be looking to further grow its foothold in the hair care and anti-ageing categories in particular.

In particular, the company says it is hoping to further promote a number of biotech-based ingredients, including anti-aging products Rubixyl and Neodermyl, together with hair care ingredient Redensyl – all of which have received innovation awards within the last two years.

The new sales office will be located at Tower 2, 1 Raffles Place, which is right in the centre of Singapore’s commercial district.
