Tappoo houses Bobbi Brown in Fiji
The two leading beauty enterprises struck up a formal partnership to bring the world-renowned cosmetics label, Bobbi Brown, to the South Pacific country.
Retail outlet first
Bobbi Brown officially launched its first retail outlet in the Tappoo Duty Free complex located at Nadi International Airport, Nadi, Fiji.
First founded in 1991, the US cosmetics label was set up by professional make up artist Bobbi Brown and specialises in colour cosmetics, skin care, make up brushes and accessories.
“Tappoo is extremely proud to be representing Bobbi Brown in Fiji and it is one of the best makeup brands,” Harnish Tappoo, Director, Tappoo, pointed out in a release on their website.
Fine housing
Hailed as Taiwan’s ‘premier shopping experience’, Tappoo is known as being one of Fiji’s finest stores and is prepared with “highly trained makeup artists who are fully geared up to offer the best service and advice to customers,” the company added.
While Carina Choo, Travel Retail Asia Pacific Regional Education Manager, Bobbi Brown, expressed that there is a significant amount of competition, their main aim currently is to build their team and develop their market understanding.
Future growth
Commenting on their plans in the near-future, Choo commented: “We are always open for an opportunity here and at this point, it is too soon to say anything because we are very new."
That said, Choo went on to say that "there is always competition everywhere but we see it as more of an opportunity rather than a competition".
Focusing on beauty from within, Tappoo is concentrating on its brand philosophy that focuses on the need to “embrace yourself and smile confidently you will be very beautiful”.
Knowing its “unique styling points” is key to promoting its brand messaging and understanding how best to approach its customers.
