Cosme Tokyo and Cosme Tech 2014 opens its doors... check out the photos

The event, which is a one-stop shop for the entire cosmetics supply chain from packaging and formulation all the way up to finished goods, is billed as the biggest of its kind in Japan and one of the biggest in both the Asia Pacific region as well as worldwide.

On the first day, the new timing of the event seemed to have been a good decision for organiser Reed Exhibitions Japan, as the footfall on the opening day in the massive event hall was high, with both the aisles and conference halls packed out.

The Cosmetics Design team is covering the event, and has a series of interviews lined up with some of the leading speakers from the event's comprehensive conference programme, including keynote event speaker Hak Hee Kang, chief technology officer at AmorePacific, as well as key movers and shakers from L'Oreal, Estee Lauder and market researcher Euromonitor International.
