Foam, gel and oil textures - Asia's new wave of formulations
Until quite recently, body care lotions have been favoured in liquid form. However, innovation in the likes of carbonated foam has seen a new wave of cosmetic products providing plenty of moisture without any drip!
In this Cosmetics Design gallery, our analyst for Asia's cosmetics market Florence Bernardin showcases some of the most recent products leading the way in this creative area.
Among this category's favourites, Bernardin says foam from a 'pump bottle' is popular - no longer a texture just reserved for cleansers.
"From foaming masks to serums, various steps of the beauty regime are now preferred in a foamy, creamy texture. Even cleansing water and oil for the consumer’s highest pleasure," she tells CosmeticsDesign-Asia.com.
A watery gel formulation is also expanding from skin care to foundation, hair dye and lip products, providing a moisture, ideal for hot and humid climates for dewy, plump skin.
