Asia’s US$86bn beauty and personal care market is diverse, with sales across the various sectors differing widely from country to country.
For instance, Mintel estimates that while facial skin care dominates between 40% and 50% of all beauty and personal care spend in Japan and South Korea, it accounts for just 10% in India, where soaps, bath and shower products take centre stage.
