PCHi 2018 announces its Fountain Awards are open for entry

Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) reveals details of returning key attractions and unveils its conference topics.

China’s “choice sourcing platform”​ will return to the Shanghai World EXPO Exhibition and Convention Centre (SWEECC) between 19 – 21 March 2018.

The event, organised by Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE), is expected to be three days of industry networking, business exchange, and learning opportunities.

In 2018, RSE anticipates an attendance of over 20,000 industry professionals to explore almost 500 suppliers from more than 20 countries and regions. In addition, visitors will be able to discover over 130 conference sessions and activities.

Better than ever

“The response we’ve received from the industry has been encouraging to say the least,”​ shared Peter Liu, Project Manager at RSE.

“In addition to the exhibitors’ diverse portfolio of innovative ingredients and products, our event will also offer visiting industry professionals more opportunities to connect, learn, and conduct business through various accompanying activities,”​ Liu added.

Conference topics   ​  

The PCHi Conference Programme will feature a variety of sessions relating to Technology, Rules & Regulations, Market Trends, and Packaging. Topics for next year’s event have been selected from the results of several industry surveys conducted by RSE.

Based on scientific research, RSE will introduce new conferences that focus on cosmetics life, scientific and technological conferences, interdisciplinary innovation and academic research conferences, and University-led pioneering technologies conferences.

At the PCHi conference, there will be a range of conference topics, including:

  • Cosmetics Formulation Conference
  • Cosmetics Testing Conference
  • Dermo-cosmetics Clinical Research & Application Conference
  • Green Ingredients and Natural Herb Conference
  • Hair Care Conference
  • Skin Care Products – Theory & Foundation Conference
  • Rules & Regulations Conference
  • Market Trends Conference
  • Cosmetics Packaging Technology and Trends Conference

PCHi Fountain Awards

Launched at the 2016 event, the PCHi Fountain Awards is designed to recognise and encourage members of the cosmetics industry to develop innovative technologies.

The PCHi Fountain Awards consists of a total of seven categories that span:

  • Innovative ingredients and technology including active ingredients, functional ingredients, processing, packaging and testing, and green/sustainable items
  • Packaging including packaging innovation, packaging design and market application
  • Special recognition for the outstanding individual of the year award

“We’ll continue to pull out all stops to ensure that attendees leave the show feeling equipped for the year ahead. PCHi 2018 will bring together some of the industry’s best innovations, as well as relevant world-class content that reflects the latest market trends, offering attendees more opportunities to connect, learn, discover new ingredients and products,”​ Liu concluded.

2018 submissions

Participating companies, this year, must submit a patent certificate along with the application form. These submissions will be assessed by a judging panel of experts including universities, research institutions, and PCHi’s cosmetics science & technology innovation committee (CSTIC), along with established domestic and international scientific researchers.

Submissions close on 15th December 2017. Winner will will be announced on 19th March 2018 at the 2018 Industry Night Gala.
